One of the refrains of Revelation is, "and they did not repent." Today we'll find some who do. Those 2 fiery prophets who shut up the sky and strike the earth with plagues don't seem to have much success in their ministry... until they die, and are resurrected. "...and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven." That's a little ray of light. God is adding to His family right up until the last possible second of time. We're in Revelation 11 to conclude this sermon.

An island of godliness in a sea of depravity. That will be the Temple during the Tribulation. Because of what we read in Hebrews and other places in the New Testament, Christians can sometimes dismiss the Temple services as obsolete, at best. No, they can't save anyone; but when they're revived, they'll have great significance to the people then living on the earth. The Jewish temple will be rebuilt, and God will take notice of the worship that goes on there. We learn all that from the New Testament book of Revelation. Here's Pastor Jim to begin a new sermon.

We saw Jesus break the 7 seals of the scroll - but what was written on it? When the contents of the scroll were a complete mystery, everyone wanted to peek at what was written there. But our attention was understandably diverted when the breaking of each seal brought about a new calamity. Separating the book of Revelation into "chronology" and "color commentary" as Jim has done, lets us pause to focus on questions like this.
