On The Broadcast: Monday, April 13th

The Diaspora - the Christian one. In hindsight, maybe it wasn't the most brilliant strategy to persecute and scatter the young church. Because wherever those believers went, they talked about Jesus. And it was bad enough, from the devil's point of view, that they spread the gospel to Jews - if they kept talking, eventually Gentiles would get the message. Our friend Barnabas was right in the middle of all that. In fact, he seems to be purpose-built for the assignment.

God Became Man

It's "Mary and Joseph," not "Jane and Tom." The human parents of the Anointed One weren't random people off the street - they weren't even random Jewish people; they were the fruit of generations of divine planning. We've missed or forgotten some things in our celebration of Christmas.

The Missing Face At ...

If we know the Christmas Story so well, why are our manger scenes so messed up? We've got camels in the snow...Magi and shepherds exchanging business cards...and are we sure we've got everybody? If he wasn't there in person, he was there in Spirit - this "missing face" in our nativity sets.

We Have Seen His Sta...

Hopeful Jews weren't the only ones awaiting the Messiah. Some Gentiles were looking for His sign...in the stars. The children of Israel had obvious reasons to watch for a heavenly King; they had the Scriptures. But some learned astrologers in the land of Persia also had a kind of faith.
