First Fruits Out Of Troubled Times - Part 2 of 2

Jesus will appear before He returns. We have a couple of hints in Scripture that Jesus will be seen before His dramatic arrival triggering the battle of Armageddon. For example, in Revelation 14 we see the "144,000" standing on Mount Zion... standing with the Lamb. That seems to be about the midpoint of the Tribulation. Jim will give us some scriptural background to help us understand these events in Part 2 of Firstfruits out of Troubled Times. We'll pick up in Revelation 12.

To "read the handwriting on the wall" means to realize that the cause is lost, the party's over. This happened literally to a man we'll study today. Belshazzar was his name, a descendant of Nebuchadnezzar. And he really should have known better than to mock the God of Israel and desecrate His temple vessels. His sudden and complete ruin would cause men to say, "Babylon the great has fallen!" - say it for the first time. But we'll start in Revelation 13, where yesterday Jim focused on the word "authority."
