After our first parents had sinned the first sin, and brought death upon themselves, God intervened to prevent something even worse. Banishment from the Garden was a punishment, but primarily it was a protection. Adam and Eve were dead, spiritually, but that condition could still be reversed. Maybe that's part of what Jim has in mind with his title, For Our Sake, the sermon we began listening to yesterday. He'll talk a bit more about the nature of sin, and the lie that's underneath it. We're back in Genesis, chapter 3 for today's Right Start.
