Fault-finding is not a spiritual gift! As we moved into the final third of the Sermon on the Mount on Friday, we saw that "Judge not" is not the complete sentence. In fact, what follows in Matthew 7 are instructions on just how to use our powers of discernment. Jesus knew that we'd be tempted to turn our heightened sense of right and wrong outward, toward others. And so He taught us to focus that burning lamp of judgment on ourselves, first.
