If we don't get to help God weed His garden, who does? Of course the answer is, "angels." The weeds are not going to win! If I had a garden, it would be taken over by weeds. Or insects. Or rabbits. But God is a much better grower than I am! He's not going to neglect what He planted, despite appearances. We see tares in His wheat field and we get alarmed - especially when the weeds seem like they're about to take over everything. The bad seeds look just like the good seeds. You've heard the phrase, "He's just a bad seed." Well, Jesus spoke a parable about that, and you may be surprised how many bad seeds are in this field with us, how bad they are, and how the Farmer plans to deal with them. Today we'll look at this agricultural allegory and its meaning. It's the Parable of the Tares. A tare is a plant that looks like wheat, but it's a noxious weed.
