In the book of Revelation we see wave after wave of God's wrath break on defiant humanity. And the rebel learns, too late, that he is the master of nothing; he can't even choose when to die. They aren't veiled metaphors in a parable. To the contrary, it seems that God uses them to make this warning as vivid and unambiguous as possible. Our study in the final book of the Bible has brought us to Revelation 6, where we find not only the notorious Horsemen, but further events at the very end of our current timeline.

Behold The Lamb - Part 3 of 3

When reading Revelation, we have to distinguish between chronology and color commentary. We have such a difficult time with this book. But, as Jim has said before, God didn't intend to confuse and befuddle us. So what's our problem? In his Apocalypse, John is giving us the play-by-play report and the color commentary together. We're getting the sequence tangled up with the sidebar information. Once we grasp which is which, it'll be much easier to understand the message. We're back in Revelation, chapter 5, with Jim.
