Daniel's Prayer

"For I know the plans that I have for you...." One of the most comforting promises in the Bible is found in Jeremiah 29: "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope.'" The satraps set a trap! In Daniel, chapter 6, we "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." There was a different king on the throne, but not much would change except the language on the road signs. The bureaucracy would carry on, of course, and the Hebrew captive Daniel would still be part of it. And once again the cream would rise to the top.
