"God only knows." All our human knowledge wouldn't fill a thimble in the infinite ocean of "things to know." But the omniscient One is acquainted with everything in His creation. That's basic. If God Almighty were to come down and talk to us, what would He say? "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence," said Carl Sagan. At Pentecost, the Spirit of God obliged. Today's episode is pneumatic! The Greek word pneuma serves to denote "spirit"... or "breath"... or "wind." So the New Testament writers sensed a connection between these things. We can watch for that when we read their words. When the Holy Spirit was released on believers, there was a sound like wind - and a strong one. But this pneuma hadn't come to destroy, but to breathe life. We make "witnessing" way too difficult! When Jesus promised the Holy Spirit, He said that the Spirit would testify (that's John 15:26)... "and you also." We're the "also," the sidekick, the "...& company" in that partnership.
