Anselm said, "I believe so that I may understand." If we don't wish to believe and obey God, we won't be able to understand His written instructions. So many come to His Book to play "gotcha," and they always lose that game. But for those of us who want to understand, and who will humble ourselves and ask the Holy Spirit for help, the Bible will be - well, an open book!
