What can we learn from a crook? If you answered, "Nothing; dishonest people have zero to teach me," you'll be surprised at the parable we'll study later in this episode. It's been called the "Parable of the Dishonest (or Unrighteous) Manager." But we closed our broadcast on Friday talking about the Prodigal Son in Luke 15. Speaking to the Pharisees, Jesus' point is that all are estranged from the Father. Some "come to their senses," choose to return to Him and join the party. And some don't.

Which son was more lost - the prodigal, or his older brother? Yesterday we looked at two scenes that Jesus painted for the religious elite. They've been called the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. The final picture could be named the Lost Son, though everyone knows it as the Prodigal Son. In all 3 scenes, something of value is lost, is restored, and a party breaks out. But there is another player in this skit: the older brother. Let's pick up at Luke 15:7 with Jim.
