We can't fault them for their innocence. Another type of ignorance is our natural state of existence in this universe; we just don't know much about it, or even about ourselves. Then there's willful ignorance - the shutting of the eyes, the stopping of the ears to the truth. But there's a kind of darkness beyond that. Peter applies it to his audience in Acts, chapter 3. God's Passion For The World
