Does God Keep His Promises? - Part 3 of 3

A fragment. A vestige. Residue. Those are other words for "remnant." A remnant, in our world, is not very important. It's a scrap, maybe even a "leftover." It's kind of a nuisance, really. It might be more trouble that it's worth to keep it around. But in God's kingdom the remnant is the precious part; it's the pure gold, free of the dross. As we look at the conclusion of Romans 10, we'll see that the Master Plan has always been about this faithful few, the remnant.

Does God Keep His Promises? - Part 1 of 3

Has Israel been replaced? Replacement Theology says that you can cross out every promise to the Jewish nation in the Old Testament, and write in "the church" above it. That doctrine has some serious problems, maybe starting with Paul's argument in Romans 9 through 11. We're right in the middle of that inspired explanation. The Apostle will insist that God is not finished with Israel, even though He's now calling others into His church. The question is, Does God Keep His Promises?

One For All - Part 2 of 2

We all tend to think of God as our tribal deity. "The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob" isn't just the national idol of Israel, like Dagon was the god of the Philistines. Yahweh is the one true God, the Lord of heaven and earth. He may have spoken to and through the Hebrews, but in among those written records are plans to bring Gentiles into His family.
