If you go to Hell, it will be over Jesus' dead body. I hope my opening didn't sound irreverent. What I mean is that Jesus died to keep you out of Hell. What do we mean when we talk about "the last judgment?" We saw in our previous excursion into the book of Revelation that we can get a bit sloppy about what we call "Heaven." We distinguished three states of bliss, not just one. Just so, there are 3 things that are often confused under the broad heading, The Final Judgment. And those are very, very different. The Day God's Patience Ran Out. One day the Sun will set on this Day of Grace. Someone's non-decision for Christ will be crystalized as a decision against Christ. What happens before the Last Days? Any study of Revelation takes us forward into the future, all the way out to the end of Gentile history. And that calls for a study of the book of Daniel, and of Jesus' words on the subject. And that rewinds the film a bit, because the Lord gave us some indications of "the beginning of labor pains," saying, "the end is not yet." We'll look at some of those "near-end" indications today, then I'll have a special word about the ministry.
