How can I be out of money if I still have checks left? That joke feels a little dated in these days when many people don't even have a checking account. But it's easier than ever to pile up debt, sometimes without even knowing it. Are we in debt to God, maybe without knowing it? That's one reason Paul wrote his letter to the Romans: to show that all of us are hopeless debtors to God; and that He has given us a solution.
